Kids who join the Tennis ABC Program will embark on an exciting path where the learning process is faster and more efficient thanks to the Tennis Talents methodology. You can read more about the basic elements of our program and the methodology here:
Mini tennis
You can’t start too soon.
Our program provides an excellent opportunity for children as young as 3-5 years old to learn the basic movements of the game. The “first strokes” sessions include enjoyable game elements that establish, facilitate and accelerate the learning of tennis. Key information:- Recommended age: 3 – 5 years old
- Ball type: sponge ball, “red” ball
- Racket type: 19-21 inch racket
- Court size: smaller courts of various dimensions
ABC - red
Enjoyable, playful introductory program with small net on ¼ court.
It is in this very early period, children mostly develop hand-eye coordination, balance and basic movements to allow them to play enjoyable points with each other on an appropriate court size for their age and ability. The little ones are already aware of the basic rules of the game and gradually get to know each aspect of competitive play.

- Recommended age: 6 – 8 years old
- Ball type: red ball (75% reduced pressure)
- Racket type: 21-23 inch racket
- Court size: 6m x 10.97m
ABC - orange
Mastering the next level on a ¾ court
This level is an excellent transition between the red and green levels because players already have all the tactical and technical knowledge they need and can therefore build on all they have acquired on the smaller court. The orange court uses the regular net on the ¾ court, allowing increasingly enjoyable points to be played.

- Court size: 8m x 18m
ABC - green
Improving tactical repertoire, full court.
This level is the last step toward playing tennis with normal balls on a full court. This is a very important period where you have to adapt to harder balls and to a full size court, but, as the speed grows, the enjoyment of the game also increases.

ABC - yellow
The last stage of the children’s program
Further learning the basics increases the number of tactical options at a player’s disposal and makes the game even more enjoyable. The program focuses primarily on those who have acquired the basic skills and knowledge of the game during the red, orange and green levels, and can also apply them confidently on the court.
Key information:
- Recommended age: 13-16 years old
- Ball type: standard ball
- Racket type: normal, corresponding to the child’s age
- Court size: full court

Steps of application
In order to use the services of the M.E.S.E. Tennis Club, everyone needs to register a user account in the HELLA system. If you are new to the club, please register by entering a few details or by using an existing Facebook or Google account.
Our existing club members can log in to their HELLA accounts using the link above or via hella.mesetenisz.hu, after which they can access the “Course Application” menu item via the menu in the upper-left corner of the screen. For our new members, this step is only preceded by a short registration. The main steps of the application:
- Log in to the HELLA user account
- Select “Course Application” from the menu in the upper-left corner
- Select the appropriate color group (red, orange, green and yellow). If you are unsure, there are some helpful tips here.
- Don’t forget to let us know which days, when, and how many times a week you want to come.
Only those who have an active HELLA user account can apply to the program. For siblings, each child needs their own account.
Key information on the 2024/2025 Tennis ABC season
Full season program:
- Application: Continuously from August 19th, 2024
- First trimester: September 2nd, 2024 – December 8th, 2024
- Second trimester: December 9th, 2024 – March 9th, 2025
- Third trimester: March 10th, 2025 – June 15th, 2025
- Training is suspended:
- October 14th – 20th, 2024 (due to tent construction)
- April 14th – 20th, 2025 (due to removal of tent)
- did not take place due to unsuitability of the court (weather, events, etc.)
- was canceled in the HELLA system at the latest by the start of training.
